After signing up for the CMD, you will only have access to your organization’s “sandbox” environment. This is meant for trying out the features that CMD offers, testing endpoint integration, and learning the best workflow for your organization. In fact, when you first create your organization, we generate five virtual hubs in your sandbox to facilitate testing. Once you feel comfortable using the CMD and have established your workflow, you are welcome to contact [email protected] to begin the process of purchasing Stel Hubs! After the purchase is made, we will upgrade your organization with a production environment, giving you access to manage your organization’s real hubs and configurations.

<aside> 💡 You will still have access to the sandbox environment after your organization is upgraded to production. You can switch between to the two environments at will. The virtual hubs in your sandbox and the real hubs in your production as well as the data associated with them such as measurements, hub groups, and endpoints are completely separated at a data level, so the data will never mix.
