Navigate to the Simulator tab.

<aside> 💡 The simulator is only available in the sandbox.

Select a hub you would like to simulate a measurement for by clicking on the first dropdown menu.

<aside> 💡 Measurements can only be simulated using virtual hubs, any sample hubs in your sandbox environment will not appear in the above dropdown.

Select the type of measurement you would like to simulate by clicking on the second dropdown menu. Once a measurement type is selected, sample values will be randomly generated for you. Feel free to customize them as you please.

<aside> 💡 This can be useful to test measurement alerts in your system!

Once you submit the simulated measurement, you can view it by going to the Measures tab or the hub’s page. The measurement’s values and metadata will be visible in the table (scroll horizontally in the table to view additional details.

<aside> 💡 The simulated measurement will be routed to any endpoints configured on the hub group that the selected hub is in.
